Canary Yellow was my first Cadell; I was in 7th or 8th grade (I've now achieved my 50th birthday). I found it in the Sheppard Air Force Base library (Wichita Falls, TX) along with many of her others. It's my favorite of Cadell's books. I reread all my collection frequently and enjoy each one immensely.

I'm a grad student writing an article on Cadell and India, trying to raise her profile as I enjoy her work (what I can find, anyway! As the British Library's resources are limited, (not enough desks so I can't go in today) I hope some more knowledgeable fans can help me. Could people tell me if she wrote any novels set in India apart from 'A Lion in the Way' and 'Sun in the Morning'? Many thanks.

Wherever I go, if I get a chance, I go to the local library and see if Elizabeth Cadell's books are on the shelf. Our local libraries have about twenty of her books and I have read them over and over. I just finished reading Gay Persuit again and found solace and laughter in reading about personalities similar to mine. It was great discovering your website just as when I discovered Elizabeth in our library! Cathy Hubeny, Westmont, IL
